After Woodforest lost their suit they were being sued for and had to do a big pay out. Please pay close attention to your bank statements.

Make sure you keep every daily email notification. What they are doing to moving transactions to later dates and showing an available balance. So you think you have that balance available. So you make a deposit then they take charges that have been moved from an earlier date and put them on the current date to try to get you to ecru overdraft charges.

And it is a crock of bull when you try to talk to someone in customer service, because first you get someone who speaks broken English and they tell you the same thing over and over which you already know and when you speak to a supposed supervisor (which is another customer service rep) they tell you the same thing. They cheat you out of money by trying to make you hit over draft. I even had a bank rep at the branch tell me that he does not bank with Woodforest and would not. He said they also take out the bigger transactions first so they get their money and then they leave the smaller transactions like the 5 and 10 buck ones so they hit overdraft and do not lose out on their money.

This is straight from a teller mouth. And I know before you start to judge that you are going to say you should balance your book...well I do..another thing they have started doing is when a deposit goes in and they see you have all of the transactions coming out they will hold you deposit for applying it to the account. I have contacted the companies that were doing the direct deposits and they sent me an email showing the deposit was made at the same time each time Woodforest has done this. I think this is crooked.

I think it should stop.

I think they should not be allowed to hold your paycheck for up to 48 hours and draw interest from it before depositing it into my account. And the way I feel about it is, if you would have never cheated people you never would have been sued!

Do I have to wait 30 days to overdraft

yeap same thing happened with me they held a $23 charge for almost a month until my account was within the overdraft $500 that i have had and used and paid fees on for a year. I never had a problem paying the fee i understood that it was a loan and i would be charged for it.

But to hold out a charge for a month and then charge me 2 fees is bull. Then yesterday i went to make a large purchase and i was wanted to use $300 from overdraft which i understood would have a fee but i was declined, no warning no phone call no email no "alert" no mail no nothing WF decided that because i withdrew my paycheck and i was told "didnt let it sit in the account for a day or two" my overdraft was suspended for 60 days and i MAY be able after 60 days to have it reinstated.

all in all i have paid nearly $500 in fees at WF in the last year and HALF of the charges were bogus. I will be moving my direct deposits somewhere else.

I have been trying to get my vehicle running properly again and I knew my check had been deposited and I also knew that I would dip a little into my overdraft, so I go to pay for my stuff, I get declined. Woodforest cut off my overdraft protection without any notice.

It's not like I never pay it off, both my wife and my checks are deposited the same time...mine every week, hers every other week. I did receive a $10 refund the other day.

Big friggin whoop. A simple phone call or letter in the mail would suffice, gonna be looking to switch banks soon...woodforest much like Walmart...screwing consumers who use their products

You complain about them paying items largest to smallest. Would you rather your mortgage payment was made or your starbucks coffee? I personally would prefer that my mortgage payment didn't bounce.

NO "Bob" we would rather them pay out when the check is posted and not hold it so that they can hit you with a fee a month later when you forgot about starbucks.

Everytime you call to try to get things straightened out you can tell they are reading from a script and you get HyPoooh from so third world country speaking broken English. You should move your call centers to America and have Americians that speak fluent English working in them to help Americians that your bank screws over with our Americian dollars.

Ray, I understand you have all the confidence in the world with your company. But they held deposits that showed being deposited for 48 hours.

Not on 1,2 or 3 occasions. 7 times total which racked you several $38 overdraft fees for $5 - $10 purchases.

The only time the funds would be withheld was when my balance was low. So you Ray have not convinced me if their unethical practices.

As a fellow employee of Woodforest I am disheartened by your attack on our company especially since the Employees of Woodforest are also its largest stockholder. I know with great certainty that Woodforest National Bank works hard to provide all customers with the very best service possible and would never intentionally รขโ‚ฌล“trip upรขโ‚ฌย a customer.

Having worked for different banks in the past, I can honestly say that Woodforest goes out of its way to take care of its customers. Our tech group is constantly implementing upgrades to our systems so that all customers have access to their money and up to date information about their accounts. We send email notifications, provide free online banking and mobile banking applications, accept customer deposits up to 8PM for same day credit. Do we make mistakes?

Sure; but show me a business (or person) that doesnรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt, and Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve never seen a bank work so hard to make things right for a customer when they screw up. Quit bad-mouthing your employer and start helping your customers!

As an employee of woodforest I can tell you woodforest does on occasion give incorrect balances to customers because of Tech issues. A news paper in Conroe recently wrote an article on their latest issue concerning not posting direct deposits.

Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Savings Bank were both fined for misleading customers. They are continually being investegated by the OCC and Texas regulators because of constant complaints from consumers of double postings of debit card transactions, wrong balances, account info being compermised, and misrepresented account products.

You can call their customer service center here in the US or Jamica but all your going to get is a script just like (At Woodforest, we take every concern seriously and make every effort to resolve issues promptly. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you regarding your experience.

please explain to me why i cant make a deposit in va using the atm i made a mistake on my checking becausre i didnt get a notification this morning i found ot a 3'50 i couldnt get to thebank before 4.but was told as long as i deposited before 8 pm.bank closes at 4 and that atms in va dont tske deposits.so im,stuck with 3 nsf.what bank doesn't take deposit in the atm rip off.

again please"?! To be honest, I am surprised they even responded to your comment. The gentleman who had the common decency to tell you the truth is a rare individual. It is very hard to find anyone, especially someone who works for the same company to tell the truth!

I recently received a refund deposted into my account for overdraft charges as part of your settlement. However it was only a fraction of what I have been charged.

In fact it barely cover the fees for last year and I have aquired charges for the last six years. How do I file a claim for the balance without getting an Attorney?

I have already spoken with your customer care and there again you talked in circles and kept telling me the same thing I already knew. You establishment is a joke.

And like I said even one of your bank tellers said you guys do the larger debit first to try to ecrue larger overdraft charges.

And one of YOUR banktellers said they do not bank with you and now would the the only reason they were there was to gain a paycheck. That your company charges intintially large fees.
